My mom and I have a joke that I inherited my knack for organizing from her. The joke is, of all my mother’s incredible qualities, staying tidy wasn’t one of them. Yet somehow, I spent hours entertaining myself by organizing my toys and bossing my siblings into putting theirs in order too. I realized, even by age 9 that when I had routines and organized surroundings, I was a much calmer person. My love for organizing has stayed with me and, over the years, I've learned a catalog of useful and efficient techniques through reading books, taking classes, and some good old-fashioned experimentation.
In 2015, I had twin girls! At the time, I was a 15-year veteran in the footwear industry and had a global role within my company. I quickly realized that the travel was too taxing for my family, so I decided to make the difficult decision to move on from my career.
After deliberating with my husband, I saw what was right in front of me the entire time: Professional Organizing. By combining my business acumen, love and knowledge for organizing, and strategic management experience, I developed a plan. In 2016, with the support of my family and friends, I brought Balanced Life Organizing Co. to life!
Today, the founding principle of my business is that improved organization enhances our quality of life. I wholeheartedly believe that when we are unorganized, we tend to also feel stressed out, late, messy, lost, and frustrated. These feelings then trickle down into other areas of our lives. Being organized doesn’t just mean putting physical “stuff” in order; it also means intentionally crafting habits and patterns that fit our own personal and family needs. I find great joy in helping other people create patterns or systems that help them progress towards living a more peaceful, balanced life.
My mission is to help individuals and families organize areas of their homes and lives that are disorganized or unbalanced. My philosophy is simple: Forget perfection. We create balance by crafting simple solutions.
